A question we hear quite frequently when folks call us up is "Where exactly are you located?" So we have decided to provide you with some general information about where we live and what we do for fun, as well as some other nifty tidbits to give you a little background about our territory.
Independent Machine Service is located Up North in Thief River Falls, a quaint little town in Minnesota whose residents are known for their Northwestern hospitality, personal service and funny accents. Our diverse geography provides access to many different outdoor and recreational activities year-round like hunting, fishing, bird watching, golfing and boating. As for our wildlife population, Thief River Falls is considered one of the top wildlife and birding areas in the country. During the months of November through March, the average temperature ranges between 0-18 degrees, and snowfall averages around 60 inches per year. This climate provides the ideal conditions for another popular activity - snowmobiling. In fact, snowmobiling was actually born here years ago with the creation of Arctic Cat. On top of all that, IMS is a spiffy blend of labeling and tagging perfection, complemented by an eclectic atmosphere of Northern excellence. All in all, we're pleased with this unique combination.
